NEW YORK: Concrete Jungle, Wet Dreams, Tomato.

Well HELLO THERE Pussycats! In case you haven't read my blog in awhile I just thought I'd mention, I MOVED TO NEW YORK CITY. Its no big deal, really, it's totally casual, I just moved to this amazing city to pursue my dreams but really its nbd...hahah jk, to say I'm excited is an understatement! It took three years of school, blogging, 5 hours trying to fit half of my wardrobe into only two suitcases, 10 hours of plane travel, and a $16 airport sandwich to get here, but I did it. And boy has it been exciting. All I wanna do is run around and sing "New York, New York" by Frank Sinatra in my underoos, is that normal?I'm living in the NYU dorms in Chinatown, which feels just like home, and I begin my internship with BUST magazine on the third. I've been here for two days now and it's strange because its not like visiting NYC at all. This time around I need to buy things like dish soap and hangers, and I have to run around the city trying to find where I pick up my student ID and what not, It's bananas! But I'm here and I'm doing it, and I can't wait to share all my adventures with you guys! As of today all I did was boring stuff. Other than meet up with some darlings friends, I've just been trying to keep my head above water in the city that never stops hustling. Every day I've been learning more and more about living by myself and living in New York and I can't wait to learn more.So far one homeless man told me was gorgeous, and the security guard who works in my building has only rolled his eyes at me 2 times today, so I think I'm doing pretty great. So today's outfit is one of those grab it and go sort of outfits.

Outfit Details: Top: Topshop / Pants: Express / Hat: H&M / Bag: Diane Von Furstenberg / Lipstick: MAC / Shoes: Aldo

That night, the sun set on a beautiful city and watching it evoked a very emotional response from me. Sure, this city was not my home, and I'd only been there for less than 24 hours, but I can't help but feel that at least right now, this is the place to be and this is the place for me (too corny?).

If any of you readers are currently in NYC and would like to hang out, lmk! Until then here is your grown up tip of the day

Grown up tip of the day: When visiting a place, your best key to avoid jet lag is to stay up until a normal bedtime for your new timezone would be. Believe me, coming from Hawaii, which is 6-hours behind New York, I was as exhausted as this sleepy bear, but push through that and trust me, that sleep will be so much more worth it.

stay sassy,
xoxo
