Music Monday: Alanis Morisette

Hey yall right around this time you are probably experiencing MIDTERMS. My least favorite M word ever. So I thought I'd bring to you my ichiban moody musician, Alanis Morissette.

Alanis is arguably my favorite Canadian of all time. She is a beautiful song bird who was the Joni Mitchell of the 90's. While known for her #1 diddy "You Oughta Know" aka the angsty bad girl anthem that totally references giving fellatio to kooky Joey from Full House in a movie theater.

Alanis is a total #girlboss who should be known for her amazing vocals specifically on the acoustic version of her hit album "Jagged Little Pill." I kid you not, this album from start to finish is in my top 10 of albums that I absolutely adore of all time. It is an album that makes me go "mmmmmmmmhmmmmm"

Every single song on this album is completely flawless, with my favorites being: "Right Through You," "All I Really Want," "You Learn," "Head Over Feet," and of course "Ironic."

Why I love Alanis is not just because she's ridiculously talented, but she reminds me that it's okay to feel sometimes. She just felt all sorts of emotions and had no problem expressing herself in the most beautiful eloquently way possible. That, right there is song writing at it's finest.

Today there is a little grey cloud hovering over my head, I've had some really sad news and spring break is over, however, I know with Alanis things will turn around.

Have a great day
and please keep it sassy,

RIP Jim <3
