TBT: 5 Songs from the Early 2000's that will INSTANTLY make you feel better

Now I don't know about you, but there is nothing that makes me happier than sugary, diabetes-inducing pop jams, and those combined with the scrunchie nostalgia from my childhood, we've got a double wammie on our hands.

I've made a list of 5 songs that you've probably forgotten about but I promise, will put a smile on your face.

1. "S Club Party" by S Club 7
Mid-drift crop tops, barbed wire arm cuff tattoos and bandanas oh my. This video instantly sends me back to saturday mornings waking up early to watch their show on ABC family, and come on guys, "push the ceiling," "player haters" the lingo kills me!

2. "C'est La Vie" by B*Witched
Now don't even act like you don't remember the scene in smart house with the little sister, jumping up and down on her bed singing to this while the music video was projected on a wall in her house and wishing that was you okay (click here). And even though the smart house turned out to suck and that little girl was such a little shit, this song still goes, and I remember listening to this on my CD player before kindergarten and feeling like I was the coolest.
Plus who doesnt love the irish jig break down in the middle of the song!?!

3. "Stop" by The Spice Girls
because "Wannabe" is SOOOOO overplayed. This music video clearly shows off the better hit and I mean, look at all that frosted lipgloss and pleather I dieeeee. Also as a small child I thought the lyrics were "I need somebody with the ham and toast" so hey, I was a creative child I guess.

4. "Upside Down" by the A*Teens
What began as a kinda of cracked out idea, "hey guys, lets take 4 teenagers, 30 years after ABBA's initial success and create a cover band that covers ABBA songs but also sings not ABBA songs" turned into something beautiful. The A*Teens, man, may I just say I love the unnecessary use of the asterix symbol in the early 2000's, it was so hip, so futuristic man.
Gah look how thin their eyebrows are! Why are they all wearing white? WHY IS THE BRUNETTE FLOATING!!?! I CANT HANDLE THIS!!

5. "Us Against the World" by PLAY
Remember this song in Mary-kate and Ashley Olsen's Island in the Sun man, that Brianna Wallace aka a very young Megan Fox was such a biotch. Regardless, this time in music video history was all about monochromatic outfits and cool swirly chairs, am I right or? And wait is the non-5-year-old blonde girl also in A*Teens, cause I swear they look identical.
Crimped hair, I die.

And I was gonna post this, but I remembered a little gem that is my favorite karaoke jam/ultimate party trick, my honorary mention, "How I Beat Shaq" by Aaron Carter

I'm a sucker for songs that make me feel like I'm playing basketball

Now yall have a great day
and please keep it sassy,
