Guest Artist: Marc Johns

Marc Johns is one of my favorite modern artist. I discovered his work in high school with his book first book Serious Drawings (which is currently sitting on my bookshelf) and he has just released a sequel I MADE THESE DRAWINGS FOR YOU (which is currently on my amazon wishlist.) He is a Canadian artist whose work has been exhibited in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Athens and elsewhere! And by elsewhere I mean a few publications like National Geographic, Newsweek and the New York Times Sunday Magazine. Many awesome people have gotten tattoos of his work, and he's just really rad. I thought I'd show off some of his recent pieces that have shown up on his website because I think they are groovy and you can purchase these if you so choose!

His humor is a mix of Charlie Brown sadness with the creativity and imagination of a 3rd grader. He's able to create this crazy little two Dimensional universe that doesn't really have to make sense. His work, simply put, just makes me happy and I hope it makes you happy too.

Which piece was your favorite? Do you know of any other artists I should check out?
And on that note, Have a great day Pussycats,
and please keep it sassy,
