Obsession: Valentines 2005

Ah, Its February already!
you know what that means
not only is it
1) Closer to Graduation
2) Black History month
3) The month of love
4) The month of forever alone
BUT
5) IT'S MY BIRTHDAY MONTH (my birthday is on February 16th)
besides my birthday, February is one of my FAVORITE months for fashion, because I love pink, I love hearts, I love frills, I LOVE LOVE LOVE it all!
So since I'm a loser, and have catalogued issues of the magazine Teen Vogue since 2004, I thought I'd show you my favorite Valentines day issues throughout the next few weeks
to begin lets start with one of my favorites, Scarlet Johanson and Topher Grace starred on the cover of Teen Vogue February 2005
(and lets be honest, how "2005" was Topher Grace)
Regardless, this was a fricken ADORABLE issue, but we must skip to my favorite part of the issue

THE VALENTINES THEMED PHOTO-SPREAD
This was appropriately called "Two of hearts," shows this adorable couple, wearing a mix of patterns and textures, running along the hill side with these giant Heart Shaped balloons.
So first off, I'm a huge sucker for cute model "couples" so I just about melted when I saw this photo. Her dress is too cute, but his denim jacket...I could do without :p
This picture is also so so sweet, remember when longish teared skirts were popular? Can you believe that was 6 years ago! I would still wear that to this day, (oooh but the trend was for them to not be highwaisted...ew). OMG that was also when polos were super popular, totally Mischa Barton circa, The OC. Anywho the tiny Nicholas Sparks inside my heart did three back flips when I saw this picture, they are holding hands...awwwww I die!
OMG she's so cute, with her patchwork skirt, I like to create stories behind photo spreads occasionally, I'd like to believe she can't speak english, and receives dresses from her Ukrainian blind grandmother, as for the giant heart, what would you do with a giant heart besides take adorable pictures next to it?
OMG then the rain!! I hope you know I'm normally not this much of a sap, but IDK man, when it comes to Teen Vogue, I seriously turn to jelly. Going along with the story I began to create, this is the moment in the love story movie, between two beautiful dressed models, that they would play in the commercial, with a light opacity and maybe some cursive font over the image, with some adorably corny song playing in the background. Gosh I love this picture, her face is so cute and the illama bag is to die for!!
Forgive the line on the British transfer student's (his role in the story) face, My scanner is not my friend. What I love about this image is that it is so sweetly simple, and there isnt this crazy porn lustful face for either of the models, it is sweet and adorable, I think the intro to Dawsons Creek should be playing with this image.
AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT HER BRAIDED BUN!!!!
DAMN.
That eyelet dress makes my heart swell.
GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE
and a dreamy boy to take photos with would be nice aswell
2005 was all about layering pieces, ugh can we talk about how cute she is! and her hair is so perfectly messy, okay Teen Vogue stylists, if you are reading this, I'm giving you full permission to take over my life. PLEASE! and there are DAISIES in the background, I'm obsessed with daisies!!
and the last line of this photospread weird movie plot I've created would be
"She had me at Comme des Garçon"
and they are walking on the beach, and they are so cute, ugh
I die, I've officially died of sugar and sweetness overload
GOD I LOVE YOU TEENVOGUE
and they end this issue with this cute how-to Valentines day party guide
I EFFING DIE!!
despite the fact that this was 6 years ago
it
was
SPECTACULAR
and on that note
keep it sassy,
